Your Introduction to Certificate IV Public Safety Course has a maximum of 20 participants – ideal for an engaging and interactive learning environment.
This course is aimed at those who need or want to understand the foundational principals and processes involved in ensuring the safety of the public specifically during an emergency or crisis situation.
As can be seen below, each of our courses provide a varying number of units of competencies. A total of 12 units of competency are required to achieve the Certificate IV in Public Safety Leadership. 3 core pathways comprising of a total of 9 units and 1 elective pathway comprising of 3 units.

This course provides participants with an understanding of communications in the workplace, skills and experience in planning for, conducting and reporting on briefings and debriefings, liaising with media at the local level along with key skills in facilitating exercise programs or other programs of activities in the workplace.
This course is designed for people who are involved (in any capacity) in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of exercise programs.
This course is aimed at those who are involved in, support or lead search and or rescue operations. Participants typically undertake this course to enhance their skills and knowledge in the coordination or management of search and rescue operations and or intend to enhance their knowledge and experience in this area.
This course focuses specifically on emergency management related relief and recovery centres and provides an overview and a deep understanding of all aspects of the activation and notification processes, establishment and management of a relief and/or recovery centre that is established to support the community who are impacted by an emergency.
